About/Bio
I began painting in April of 2002. With the advice of a good friend, when
I mentioned that I think I wanted to try painting, he said "What's stopping
you? Go for it." So I went down to the art store and bought $16 worth of art
supplies. Since I didn't know anything about painting, I basically guessed on
what I thought I needed. It was a great way to spark the
interest of this fabulous journey!
My love of painting in oils and the world we live in is the basis of most of my work.
Plein air is the way I can capture the essence of how wonderful it is to be here. While painting, I am enjoying the environment as well as portraying it as I see it. Another enjoyment of painting on location for me is when people watch a painting develop. It gives me great pleasure to know that people take an interest in the arts and my work.
Selling my art, is also very special to me. I like when people appreciate the effort and craftsmanship I put into my work by purchasing their favorite piece, or by commissioning me to do a personal piece for them, such as their house, portrait, pet, etc.
My goal is for my clients to be satisfied with their purchase, so I will work very closely with my client to insure that they are delighted with their piece.
I use artist grade materials and paints. Many of my pieces have been personally hand stretched by me. If you choose, I can frame and/or mat your piece at an additional charge, or you can have it framed by local framer. I work in a timely manner so you will not be waiting any longer than promised delivery date. You will also be shown work in progress, if you choose to see its development.
