of that summer, I was inspired by Pierre Bouret to read and take some art classes. So that fall I enrolled in a painting class at the community college, and studied under Kathi Fertig for a little over a year.
As of April 2004, I started to enter my paintings into juried shows and exhibits. You can find the list on the Exhibit page on the link above for past exhibits. My paintings have won 1st place awards, a 3rd place award and a Merit Award. I also have had solo shows as well as had paintings in invitationals.
I have continued my education with credit classes to obtain a degree where I have studied under Jonathan Ricci in Design and Sculpture, and Jeff Bailey in Life Drawing. Furthermore, I worked in the student art store and gallery for a short period of time. I displayed some art work at the school during this time.
Mostly, I enjoy landscape painting and painting outdoors which is called plein air. Yet I also enjoy studio painting from life and sometimes using photos I have taken as reference. I now have a new passion for the artists of the past through the Art History classes taught by Prof. Jane Yantz. . I am a past co-vice president off Burlington County Art Guild. Current memberships include of the Willingboro Art Alliance, Rancocas Valley Plein Air Painters, International Plein Aire Painters, and associate member of Oil Painters of America.
My paintings are for sale. I am also available for commission work.
